Autodesk Inventor | Constraint vs Joint in Assemblies
Ever wondered what that "Joint" button did next to "Constraint" while doing an assembly? Ever tried to figure out how to use it? This video is a demonstration to get you familiar with that option. It's a great tool if you want to try it out on your next assembly.

PLTW IED | Model Creation 2 Using Additive and Subtractive Method
Просмотров 3386 лет назад
Project Lead the Way uses Autodesk Inventor as a tool for 3D model creation. This is a tutorial for one of the common parts seen in the Introduction to Engineering Design class. We are using both the "Additive" method (adding solid features) and the "Subtractive" method (removing solid features) to make this model.

A bit late to the party, but I'll give it a shot: What are the animation differences? For an exercise, I modeled a robotic arm. It has three segments and a claw, and what I wanted to be a swiveling base. I have failed miserably. The assembly model itself I'm good with. But, to get it animated, I brought everything together using constraints. Then, I tried to animate the constraints. Things start flipping all over the place and twisting in weird directions, and some relationships go in the wrong direction (e.g., the base moves when I'm trying to move a part of the arm). I went through this 2 or 3 times, then decided to try joints. I used several rotational joints, but also employed some mating constraints. I cannot make both animate in the same scene. And, I can make neither animate properly, as things begin to flip around or bend in ways I never intended. I've modeled other things, and their animations did not have these issues. So... Is there any way to combine animated joints and animated constraints? If not, what would cause all the flipping and reverse-direction relationships? Thank you.
There is a typo in the first cloud.
The music makes it sound funny for some reason 💀
Do you have part drawing
Entrepreneurship prof makes us watch this and take notes lol.
Loved the music.
Gotta love how that the "talk" over the cart totally worked out at this point in time 😆
You didnt really use Constrain at all. How does this video show the difference between the two? Its a really good video on joints but no mention of constrain
super
lose the tunes
Lmaoo
My marketing prof is making us watch this. I'm not even an engineer
This engineering you market

who else is a freshman from highschool doing engineering class
Chris Bond, would you be willing to share the parts? I'd love to practice this
That would be a good idea to share this assembly if it’s not proprietary. Thanks
do you have the part files to share?
Aye y’all what’s the answers???
Didn't explain shit
imagine this as a anime
This video: Exists Freshmen: *AAAAAAUGH*
supposed to watch this for online class
I am following the directions, but the knob to indicate spinning (and direction) does not stay to the main rod, however, it still does spin. Did I forget anything?
Why not add voice explaining whats going on?
Absolutely useless
Auodoosk is my life!!!!! also i am biggest fann love u
This really halped XOX
very help
i love your chanel criss
EXCELLENT DEMOSTRATION OF JOINT CONSTRAINS
thx i had a project
Thank you so much you saved me from failing my class
I dont like this
Who here has to watch this for engineering class?
i am
Me!
video casettes of the program and 80s hair, yep this is 40 years out of date just like my engineering class
True bro, just like my engineering professor
this is actually from 1999!
Wow...great video. I really like this. Simple, quick and easy to understand. I will use this video to in my art class. Thanks for the hard work on this!
Engineering classes be like
Nice video! Need your technical expertise. I have a small extruder and the entire barrel moves in a circular pattern maybe 1-2mm or so - which makes it very difficult to maintain tolerances on the product extruded. I thought it was due to a screw that was broken and repaired and assumed might not be 100% straight, but the same thing happens also with a new screw... what could be the cause? The motor and the gear box? A bent shaft that connects to the screw? Maybe the extruded not being level properly on a hard surface (it is on a wooden pallet)? A bent or worn out barrel?
kill me pls
OMG!!! YOU JUST SAVED MY GRADE!!!!!😄😸 THANK YOU SOOO MUCH DUDE!!!!! THIS HAS STUMPED ME FOR HOUR!!!!! THANK GOD YOU MADE THIS VIDEO!!!! BLESS YOU!!!! Also, sorry for all caps but I've literally been stuck on this for more than 5 hours, so for this to work... REALLY.... excites and relieves me.
fuck DDP
This song kicks ass. What is it?
Don't the other holes on the other side need to be threaded too?
Ben Benkhadra yes, they do.
watch him be like a 7 year old genius
How old are you Chris? because ur a god

thanks. this really helped. i was a bit behind since i was helping some other kids with simply loading in the files; one thing led to another, and i ended up being behind and didnt know what to do when i found out i was assigned the snail cam. thanks again.
Cyrotechnium glad to help. Let me know if there are any other tutorials you need.
